Masterson’s Pub , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of Affairs: Unhygienic and Disregarded
From the moment I walked in , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and filthy restrooms permeated the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was human waste .

As I dug deeper , I advice was alarmed to find reports against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women accusing him of sending indecent material . Described as excessively forward and boundary-crossing , Cornwell’s misconduct has created an hostile atmosphere for women who visit Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often seemed closer to that of a sweating predator than a welcoming host .
